Save money by making cinnamon roasted almonds at home. Give them away as gifts to your family, friends, neighbors, and teachers. They are going to love ...

hi I'm Betsy from DIY natural and today

I'm gonna show you how to make one of my favorite snacks cinnamon roasted almonds I figured out how to make my own and these are delicious just a few ingredients and about 5 or 6 minutes you'll need one and a half cups of unsalted roasted almonds you can use raw almonds but it takes another step at the very end of the process that I'll tell you about later 1/2 cup of sugar you need just an eighth of a teaspoon of salt add that to my dry mixture you'll need 3/4 of a teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of water go ahead and dump in my almonds then I'm gonna take this over the stovetop and this will take about 5 minutes so I'm gonna set my timer for 5 minutes and worried about the 5 or 6 minute mark you'll start to see a change magically happening to this mixture and you're gonna have to constantly stir this the whole time so you want to be very careful toward the end of this process because the change occurs in an instant and you have to catch these almonds there's no timer so it should be happening anytime that it'll go from very syrupy to crystallized and it's starting to happen now you'll see

there's less of that syrupy mixture in the pan and some more all over the almonds and you want to take it off the heat as soon as all those almonds have almost a free look to them the sugar is crystallizing and if you let it sit in the pan too much past this they'll actually turn syrupy again it took me a few batches to get it just right and that my friends is done from the heat they've got that nice crystallized furry look to them and I'm gonna dump these out on some waxed paper to cool off now if you use raw almonds for this recipe you'll actually want to take these straight from the pan sizzle you want to take those straight from the pan and put them onto a cookie sheet and just lay them evenly on a cookie sheet and bake those in the oven for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees and that will bring out the extra nutty flavor to them if you're using the raw almonds if you were to use roasted almonds this is it you're all done you can let them cool give them away as gifts take them to work or to school as snacks put them out in a candy dish and let people nibble on them these are delicious

so people have been dying for some more sweet recipes for the holidays to give away and this is one of my absolute favorites so we thought we'd share with you today thanks for watching do a natural check it out
